Macbeth at the Drama Factory

The Tsikinya-Chaka Centre is partnering with the Drama Factory in Somerset West to provide a rehearsal and performance space where theatre makers can conduct Shakespearean experiments!

Our first event took place on 23rd May 2022: an ensemble from arts education company Educasions performed their production of Macbeth to learners from four local schools (Strand Secondary School, Leiden Secondary School, Hottentots-Holland High School and Simanyene High School), followed by a Q&A with the cast.

This was made possible by the generous support of the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences and the Shakespeare Society of Southern Africa.
